And finally, an update from me =3
I can't think of anything profound, so I'll let the new chapter itself do the talking. Let's see how well the battles are understood when I take tactics up another notch. I do however, suggest bringing your favorite battle music starting from scene #3; preferably something more traditional in style~
The soundtracks I listened to get in the mood during the writing of the chapter includes:
- Imperial Conflict and Melee Cafe by Jeff van Dyck (Rome Total War).
- Esper Battle (Final Fantasy XII) by Sakimoto Hitoshi.
- Barbarian Horde (Gladiator) and Roll Tide (Crimson Tide) by Hans Zimmer.
Lastly, since a number of readers have requested it, here's the author's notes in regards to how Hyperion came to be and a general listing of the historical references embedded in the chapters. This will be steadily updated as I finish work on volume two.

Kaede appearance made me think of Chaika figure with pink eyes, so

Esper Battle huh? Me no likes darkja shot in my face.
Thanks Aorii~ Maidens, lead the charge!
It's Sakimoto, actually, not Hashimoto.
And thx for the update, keep it up!
Oops. Fixed~
ty for the suggestion... You should add some link at the beginning of the chapter... it really made it much more enjoyable with the apropriate BGM... (not that it wasn't enjoyable without... the first reading without music was still good... but the second with music had more epicness in it... (just like the princess tought ^^')
honestly, picking the right music makes reading any scene better xD This scene is just special-er since it especially notes it~
let me think about that xD It's definitely unconventional.
Ty for the update.
Oh, update for hyperion, have been craving for it. Will start reading at once.
ty for the update! :D
SECOND~! yay =3
how about METHOD_REPLEKIA/.
Mmmh, first time I heard it actually. But the opera is really overpowering the composition in this song, especially since its cymbal use is more potent than the drums which really limits the tempo. Gives me visual of an indoor fight much more than a field one =P
