Decisions decisions decisions. The future schedule.

TMG_v07_Cover

On an unrelated note, the chapter titles for Volume 7 have been translated.

Hello everyone〜, my break is continuing, but as I sort out my RL stuff, work, uni, I have thought over the schedule and plans for the future.

Which leads me to this announcement.

Currently I have 3 series active and one completed, after gaining some translating experience I can objectively say that I took on too much at once. 3 series with a backlog of several unfinished volumes is too much for me to manage, and while I could rotate between them back and forth... that probably won't work for me, I'm not js06 :|.

That is precisely why I have decided to sort out the schedule.

From now on, the plan is to catch up with AntiMagic Academy newest raws while making sure I'm up to date with Only Sense Online. So, OSO gets priority, after that it's AntiMagic until I catch up. Omae wo is planned to be done after I catch up to AA, I'm not dropping it, but it's stalled and will be completed all at once after I catch up with other series.

Only then, I will add the 3rd series to the active line-up. Having 3 series in itself isn't a bad thing, but it was my bad to add a 3rd series to the line-up when I wasn't caught up with others (Though, I blame OSO for that, I picked it up the instant I saw it).

And yes, that means I'll be getting another series after I catch up and finish everything... there's a long way to go before that happens, probably several months, but there are a few series I'm keeping my eyes on.

The conclusion, I will do AA Volume 7 next and depending on the OSO Volume 4 release date, might do Volume 8 and 9 afterwards. Will do OSO 4 when it's out, then complete Omae wo (I apologize for all the fans that are eagerly awaiting its translation to resume, but I do need to put my stuff in order).

I reserve myself the right to change my mind.

Well this is good, here I thought you're going to exhaust yourself translating 3 LN at the same time ^^. I pray for your good health bro

Are the web volumes for OSO different from the printed volumes? (Asking since remember seeing on bakaupdates that sos web volumes were at 6 and printed at 3)

Yes, aside from changes within the same story arcs, the light novel volumes 3 and 4 do not exist in webnovel form.

Alice is not stalled, it's just that the translator - Kadi does not have a regular schedule and does it in his free time.

Haha, an interesting 'tale' & conundrum.

OSO must have been like love at first sight in LN form I guess.

Question: What happens if you're in the middle of translating something and an OSO volume is released?

Kry-sama is no playah who switch from one gurl to another gurl.
        Same case with Translating.

I won't do simultaneous three timing, I'm not that good. I prefer three-timing in an orderly manner.

For me everything krytyk-sama translates is a good one (personally i like OSO and Anti Magic but Omae also got me going) with that said... Krytyk-sama has spoken and his word is thou shall be followed by thee.

That guy is in the same vein with zzhk if you ask me(objections permitted as this just my purely biased opinion). That guy might only be living just to translate kazuma kamachi's stuff, add kawakami minoru's work which has a notoriety for being absurdly thick(record holder is about 1000+ pages thick if memory serves).

If you think those are the only series he's translating, you're sorely mistaken. For LNs there may only be 1 or 2 series done not written by those two, but he translates the scripts for a metric craptonne of manga.

According to MH, the TLs the scripts for no less than 13 series https://mangahelpers.com/t/js06

maybe he know kage bunshin jutsu or own some state of the art cloning mechanism. he did drop that other book (blood something) since he said it didnt capture his interest.

on a different note how does the series his translating go chronologically?
owari, then horizon, lastly city series? i just want to reread it all chronologically once he is finished.

Idk where to send this to reach u krytyk, but i wanted to comment on the mobile layout where its been rather annoying to be scrolling and the sidebar popping over the translation even at the slightest swipe to the right. Sorry if its in the wrong place, and meanwhile i do love all the stuff uve been doing and its been fun thus far to read em leisurely on the dark background as a pre-bedtime thing lol ^^

Try using the left hand swipe because it gets really easier to avoid making the menu appear

I forgot it in the other post but you are probably going to swipe like \ so the menu doesn't appear

        And long life to darkness
        And to justice
And to krytyk-sama! Enjoy your break

Of course you picked it up the instant you saw it. It's Yun we are talking about, duh!

Joking aside, I'm really glad you decide to translate AA first.
    Thank you. :)

So the new series will feature another Trap?
Another male who turned female and becomes irresistibly cute....

That shall be Krytyk blog's new identity.
Place where all kinds of gender bender / trap characters gets the spotlight~

No, not really. I'm not a fan of traps and gender bender per se. I just translate what's fun to read.

i really hope you'll go on translating until OSO is completed (20 volumes would be asking for too much? *_*) or until i get to master japanese enough to read it XD

ah. what is the status of the editing for OSO volume 03 and AA volume 06?
for the epub conversion i mean.

I'll get to editing OSO the first thing after coming back from break, AA vol 6 might take a little longer.

one day aspiring translators would say "when i grew, i want to be as great as js06". he sometimes wonder if i trully am a human or he is non-human

It's more like, my attention span works completely different from how js06's works. I don't know how js does that, but does several different books at once, and not even on volume basis, but literally at once... which is different from my volume-after-volume switch approach.

The translator who posts his stuff on baka-tsuki, he does several series at once mainly from 2 authors.

JS06 or known as JS06.exe a translator who's specialty is taking multiple projects at once with godlike speed. Translates tons of mangas and LNs at once. He's been in the TL business for years. When I appeared in the community 5 years ago he's already TLing for some time.....

          2. Sonoda YukiSonoda Yuki

Oh hell yes, This is the man (or machine, according to rumor) who's translated every Kamachi series on BT (including most, if not all of Index), Daimaou, and several Kawakami Minoru series, including the friggin' Dictionary.

Manga series that I know of include HayaGoto, Black Lagoon, Needless, Bloody Monday, Kurenai, and, of course, the Railgun, Index, and Accelerator Manga. I'm fairly certain there's more.

Ping took on translation checking 200 chapters of garbage translations for mushoku tensei, I wonder if we'll see him in this lifetime.
