Hello. This is not Krytyk. In fact, it's rather troubling for me to see so many unapproved comments on the queue, which has remained that way for months. Krytyk is usually good at approving those even when he isn't posting. I really hope he's alright.

This is Aorii. It's been a while since I've posted here.

I've been in an on-and-off writer's slump over the last two years. Much of that was due to real life issues, relationship problems, career shifts, all that. The rest? Harder to say.

But late last year, I've finally recovered my enthusiasm in writing. Which made me realize that there's one task that's left undone.

I should put a status on Daybreak -- it's been on hiatus long enough.

Well, you've probably already been expecting this. I finally cataloged my thoughts and pieced together the long list of issues surrounding Daybreak and why I can't bring myself to type out a single new chapter in over two years (not for a lack of trying; I really did want to finish volume 4 at least).

It pains me to say this, but Daybreak is officially dropped.

For those willing to try, I'm back to writing, and hopefully will be making regular updates. After many edits, additions, and reworks-- I'm finally happy with the exposition of my current ongoing story - Eve of Rebirth. It seems to have found its footing as I push past half volume. If you liked the world I built or the type of story I write, I suggest giving it a shot.

Writing Daybreak was not just interesting, but life-altering for me. I've met a lot of people, and some of whom seem to have settled in as long-term friends. I've learned a ton, especially as the writing process itself has become a medium for me to research the world. Krytyk really helped me a lot in providing me a platform where I could actually engage with readers, for which I shall always be thankful.

For the readers of Daybreak not following me to the next adventure, I thank those who supported me and bid them good luck in life.

I may post here again when Eve finishes its first volume. But if not, Adieu.
